Philippe Bianconi

Biography

Pianist Philippe Bianconi is known for high-quality, beautifully controlled performances as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber music player, and accompanist. He is also a significant educator. Bianconi made his recording debut as a chamber music player in 1997, backing the Quatuor Sine Nomine on an album of chamber music by Brahms. Backing baritone Hermann Prey for several years, their recording of Schubert's song cycle Die schöne Müllerin was reissued in 2009. Bianconi has appeared as a concerto soloist with major orchestras both in France and beyond. In 2023, on La Dolce Volta, he released the album Ravel: L'oeuvre pour piano.
