Conductor David Reiland specializes in contemporary music and in neglected music of the 19th century. Reiland made his debut album, leading a program of works by Benjamin Godard in 2016. In 2018, Reiland became the music director of the Orchestre National de Metz in France. In 2019, he conducted Les Frivolités de Paris in a performance of Auber's opera La Sirène. In 2021, Reiland was named the music director of the Korean National Symphony Orchestra; he has also guest conducted at the Korean National Opera. He has made several recordings with the Orchestre National de Metz, including Poétesses Symphoniques, featuring works by neglected French female composers, in 2023.
