Stratton Bull

Biography

Singer and conductor Stratton Bull has studied medieval and Renaissance music extensively, working both independently and with the ensemble Cappella Pratensis, of which he serves as director. With that group, he has pioneered an authentic performance approach, leading performances in which singers use Renaissance notation and read the music from a single music stand. Bull is also a countertenor vocalist and has performed with various leading early music groups in Europe and North America. He has recorded several albums with Cappella Pratensis for the Challenge Classics label, including The Den Bosch Choirbooks, Vol. 4, in 2024.
