In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child, I was taught how to sing through the immersion of being in a musical family. We would sing out our joys, jokes, woes, stories, and dreams to one another. Growing up, gave me permission use my voice as a creative tool to compose music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Betty Carter, Inside Betty Carter Musician's Practice Partner, Cello Drones for Tuning and Improvisation The Blood Brothers, Burn, Piano Island, Burn (Bonus Track Version) These three albums embody some core pillars in my musical influences throughout my life from childhood (Betty Carter), to adolescence (The Blood Brothers), to adulthood (Cello Drones). Tell us why you chose this song. “Wordless” This song is the first single I released after I switched from using my previous stage name, Like A Villain, and exclusively began releasing music under my real name. It represents a gateway into a new world of musical expression and discovery. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was getting be interviewed by Wire Magazine to discuss my phone call performance project I created in 2020 titled, There You Are. I then released first EP, Wordless, to align with when the interview would be published Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have been creating ambient drone music for myself since 2020 and then began releasing those drones in 2025. I would love if these drones would be used in more clinical spaces to support people mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
