Anna Skryleva is a conductor and composer based in Germany who focuses on the 19th century operatic and orchestral masterworks as well as promoting lesser-known compositions from the 20th century. She served as General Music Director at the Theatre Magdeburg from 2019 to 2025 and has also conducted the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Copenhagen Philharmonic, the Dallas Opera, and the Royal Swedish Opera, among others. Skryleva draws on her synesthete abilities in compositions such as Mirror (2021), which sets one of her own poems by associating musical motifs with specific words. She served as conductor on the albums by flutist Joséphine Olech (2021), clarinetists Blaz Sparovec (also 2021) and Oleg Shebeta-Dragan (2025), and violinist Bohdan Luts (2024) on Orchid Classics. In 2026, she conducted the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin on an album featuring two major works of Leokadiya Kashperova.
