Graham Reynolds

Biography

American composer, bandleader, musician, and educator Graham Reynolds creates music for film, television, dance, and theater, working with classical and jazz ensembles as well as rock groups. He formed the avant-jazz group Golden Arm Trio in 1993, and their self-titled debut album appeared in 1998. Reynolds also co-founded Golden Hornet, a non-profit organization supporting emerging composers. Reynolds began scoring films in the early 2000s, earning recognition for A Scanner Darkly (2006). He has showcased multiple sides of his work with albums such as The Difference Engine: A Triple Concerto (2010), Duke! Three Portraits of Ellington (2011), and MARFA: A Country & Western Big Band Suite (2019). He has written original scores for several silent movies, including Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger, which was issued in 2020. In 2025, Reynolds released the solo album Mountain as well as the standards-heavy soundtrack for the Richard Linklater film Blue Moon.
