Jonathan Aasgaard

The principal cellist of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Jonathan Aasgaard has toured widely as a guest soloist and chamber player. He is also a prominent educator. Aasgaard is committed to contemporary music and has given the world premieres of various works. He has made recordings with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and appeared several times as a soloist, including in a performance of the cello concerto Sonnets to Orpheus on the album Richard Rodney Bennett, Vol. 5, with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
