David Ponsford
Biography
Keyboardist David Ponsford specializes in Baroque music and is active as both an organist and a harpsichordist. He is also a prominent educator and a musicologist who has published a major study of French Baroque organ music and several performing editions. As an organist, Ponsford has released eight albums in the series "French Organ Music of the Golden Age" as of the mid-2020s. He performs with harpsichordist David Hill in the duo The Two Davids, and that pair released the album Bach-Centricity in 2025.
