Edwige Herchenroder

Biography

French pianist Edwige Herchenroder has made an impact as both a recitalist and a collaborative pianist. She also has a substantial record as an opera repetiteur. Herchenroder has made several recordings as a vocal accompanist. Her debut recording came in 2015, accompanying tenor Rupert Charlesworth on the album Nocturnes. Herchenroder's schedule is divided between solo work as a recitalist and appearances as an accompanist. She returned to the recording studio in 2025, accompanying Kitty Whately on the album Horizons: French Mélodies. She is a professor at the École Normale de musique Alfred Cortot, teaching French diction for singers and studies for opera roles.
