Biography
Bass-baritone Albert Dohmen is an important specialist in German operatic repertory from Wagner to the early 20th century. His résumé is especially dense with Wagnerian roles, which he has often sung at the Bayreuth Festival. Dohmen is also an experienced lieder singer. He has performed non-German works and, in 2024, was heard on a BBC Philharmonic Orchestra recording of Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13 ("Babi Yar").
