Lara Somogyi

Marrying tradition and innovation, Lara Somogyi is a genre-crossing harpist and composer based in California. She debuted her combination of harp with electronics and pedal effects on her immersive debut album, !, in 2022. Over the next few years, she released covers of Kate Bush and Tchaikovsky, the solo EP blueprints (2024), and collaborations with singer/songwriter Bat for Lashes and experimental pianist Jean-Michel Blais. The latter album, 2025's désert, was entirely improvised at Somogyi's studio in Joshua Tree. It reached the Billboard Classical Albums Top 20.
