Biography

The Ensemble Vocal Bergamasque is one of France's leading small choirs, with a notably diverse and international repertory. The group sings in many languages and records music of greatly diverse origins. The Ensemble Vocal Bergamasque was founded in 2007 by director Marine Fribourg. The choir consists of 24 members, drawn from elite alumni of top youth choirs. As of 2023, the choir has appeared on two volumes, the fifth and the seventh, of Benjamin Alard's monumental effort to record the complete keyboard music of Bach.
