Judith Ingolfsson
Biography
Violinist Judith Ingolfsson has performed in top venues in Europe and the U.S. since winning the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis in 1998. Dividing her time between Berlin and Baltimore, she is also an important educator and a music editor. In 2000, Judith Ingolfsson made her debut recording, joined by pianist Ronald Sat in works by Bach, Henryk Wieniawski, Ned Rorem, and Ernest Bloch. She has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras in the U.S. and Europe, and recitals have taken her to major international venues. With her husband, pianist Vladimir Stoupel, she performs as the Ingolfsson-Stoupel Duo, which has issued several albums. The pair issued an album of duos by Rebecca Clarke in 2024.
