Martin Katz

Biography

Collaborative pianist Martin Katz is active and respected internationally and has been performing for well over 50 years. He is also a conductor, an educator, and a musicologist who has edited operas from the Baroque and bel canto eras. Katz's recording catalog, focusing mostly on vocal music accompaniment, is large and stretches back well into the LP era. In 2025, he was heard on the album A Few Words About Chekhov: Songs and Cycles of Dominick Argento.
