Anja Lechner
Biography
Cellist Anja Lechner has been an important proponent of cross-genre musical experimentation, especially in relation to tango music. She is always in search of new works for cello, especially those that blur genre distinctions. Lechner has been a longtime staple in the catalog of the experimentally minded German label ECM. She released the album Bach, Abel, Hume on that label in 2024.
