Ernst Schlader

One of Europe's leading specialists in the historical clarinet, Ernst Schlader is also an important educator. He has been active as a soloist and chamber musician, playing a wide variety of historical and modern instruments. Schlader has a substantial recording catalog that includes little-known works from the Classical period, at the dawn of the era of the modern clarinet. In 2024, he recorded Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
