In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Both my parents were pianists, so I didn't know of a world where people wouldn't play music. I used to sit under the piano when my parents practiced and listen. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aki Hashimoto, Ji Yoon, Matthew Toogood, Orchestra of Nationaltheater Mannheim, Raymond Ayers, Simon Oesch, Björk: Vespertine - A Pop Album as an Opera (Live) Radiohead, Kid A Ryuichi Sakamoto, async All albums are musically so strong, they immediately immerse you into a mood, an alternative world. Tell us why you chose this song. “Aurora” This song is from my latest Sakamoto tribute album we recorded together with producer Maarten Vos in Berlin. I learned very much from him and love how in this track a minimal use of notes can still create a dreamy and lonely atmosphere.
