Marie Rouquié

Biography

French Baroque violinist Marie Rouquié has collaborated with a wide variety of musicians and has performed works by several little-known 18th century composers. As a member of the Paris Quartet, she has also performed Viennese music of the Classical period. Rouquié has developed innovative ways of presenting early music to children. Her recordings include 2024's Liebe Amalia...: Carl Philipp Emanuel & Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, which explored the influence of Princess Amalia of Prussia as patroness to two of J.S. Bach's sons and included several of her compositions.
