Biography
Versatile soprano Julie Cherrier-Hoffmann is in demand on operatic stages, as well as in art song, sacred works, and chamber music. Cherrier-Hoffmann has a varied repertory of operatic roles, including the title role in Berlioz's Roméo et Juliette and Antonia in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. She is also a popular recitalist, performing song cycles by Schubert, Debussy, Fauré, and many other composers. Cherrier-Hoffmann's chamber music collaborators include such prominent names as cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Philippe Entremont. Cherrier-Hoffmann married conductor Frédéric Chaslin in 2018 and has recorded with him several times, including on a 2023 recording of La voix humaine.
