Biography
Film composer Harry Gregson-Williams' break came in the mid-'90s when he was taken under the wing of Hans Zimmer. He worked on the soundtracks of several Zimmer-scored films, including Crimson Tide (1995) and The Rock (1996), and went on to collaborate with Trevor Rabin and John Powell. Meanwhile, he took the lead on the soundtracks of children's movies including Spy Kids (2001), as well as action-adventure films such as Spy Game (2002). By mid-decade, Gregson-Williams was working on the A-listers Shrek 2 (2004) and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), the latter of which earned him a Grammy nomination for best score. Subsequent blockbusters on his resumé have included X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and Ridley Scott's The Martian (2015) and House of Gucci (2021).
