Bridget Cunningham
Biography
Britain's Bridget Cunningham is a versatile figure in the world of early music, active as a conductor, keyboard performer, and researcher. Cunningham has appeared as a solo harpsichordist for audiences that included Prince Charles and the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace. She was heard on a broadcast on Austrian radio with pianist Angela Hewitt, and she has also performed on the radio in several other countries. Cunningham is the artistic director of London Early Opera, with which she made her recording debut in 2015 with the album Handel in Italy, Vol. 1. She has emerged as a specialist in the music of Handel and in performances that examine specific situations in his career. Cunningham led a recording of Handel's pasticcio Caio Fabbricio, HWV A9, in 2022.
