Giulio Briccialdi

Biography

An Italian flute player and composer for said instrument. The most important aspect of Briccialdi's career was his technical innovation for the flute which consisted of the addition of a B-flat key. This was improved upon in Florence. Giulio's compositions consisted of concertos and operatic fantasies for the flute as well as one opera. He taught at some conservatories and performed all over Europe and in the United States. ~ Keith Johnson
