Biography
The vocal-instrumental early music ensemble Gli Angeli Genève maintains a busy schedule, including multiple concert series at home in Geneva and guest appearances with various other groups around Europe. The group combines veteran performers in the field of Baroque music with students building a career in the field. Gli Angeli Genève was founded in 2005 by Stephan MacLeod. Since its early days, the group has given performances of Bach's cantatas, and its first two releases, German Baroque Cantatas, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, appeared in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Gli Angeli Genève After several more albums, including those of Bach's St. Matthew Passion and St. John Passion, Gli Angeli Genève issued the album Josquin Desprez: Malheur me bat in 2023.
