In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 6-years-old and living in Chernihiv, Ukraine, my mother took me to hear a performance of Tchaikovsky’s first piano concerto. After the concert, being mesmerised by sounds of piano, I told my mother I wanted to be a pianist when I grew up.
