Jennifer Galloway

Jennifer Galloway joined the BBC Philharmonic in 1993 as sub-principal oboe while still a student at the Royal Northern College of Music and became the principal oboe of the orchestra in 2000. She has appeared as guest principal oboe with major British orchestras and performs regularly as a soloist with the BBC Philharmonic. In 2025, she was featured as the oboe soloist on Chandos Records in Edward Gregson's concerto "A Vision in a Dream," a work commissioned for her by BBC Radio 3 in 2020 and which she premiered at Leeds Town Hall with the BBC Philharmonic and conductor Ben Gernon.
