Quito Gato

A native of Argentina, Quito Gato's musical education flourished at the Universidad de las Artes in Buenos Aires, where he studied everything from conducting and composition to recorder and percussion. After furthering his studies across the Americas, he honed in on stringed performance exclusively: classical guitar, lute, theorbo, vihuela and other unique plucked instruments. Gato primarily works as part of a team, with a history of recording and performing with ensembles including Cappella Mediterranea, Ensemble Clematis, L'Arpgeggiata and his own Glossarium, primarily focused on Spain's contribution to music during the Renaissance and Baroque eras.
