Biography
Anne Akiko Meyers is an important American violinist who has enjoyed wide attention since her early years. She has performed on many of the world's most famous stages, such as the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center, and with equally famous conductors, including Kristjan Jarvi, Gerard Schwarz, and Gustavo Dudamel, orchestras, and other musicians. In addition to her artistry in the standard repertoire, Meyers has more and more frequently set herself apart as a champion of new music. Some of her dozens of recordings have debuted at number one on the Billboard Classical chart, and she is popular on many classical radio stations and streaming platforms. Her many composition debuts include the concerto Fandango by Arturo Márquez' in 2021, and Blue Electra by Michael Daugherty, scheduled for 2022, with the jazzy album Shining Night appearing between those premieres.
