Barokkanerne

Formed from two earlier Norwegian groups, the Barokkanerne ensemble is one of the leading Baroque orchestras in Scandinavia. The group has added vocal music to its work in recent years and performs in a major concert series in Oslo. Barokkanerne, in its earlier incarnation, made various recordings for the 2L and Lawo Classics labels. On the Berlin Classics label, the group released the album Vivaldi: The Norwegian Seasons in 2024. Barokkanerne (the name means "Baroque Ancestors"), in full Barokkanerne -- Norwegian Baroque Ensemble, was formed in 2018 from a merger between the instrumental ensembles Barokkanerne and the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra.
