Richard Edgar-Wilson
Biography
Richard Edgar-Wilson is a respected tenor in opera, oratorio, and song, performing and recording since the late '80s with configurations from as small as a chamber duet with pianist Joanna Leach to the battalion-strength onslaught of Mannheim Steamroller. Career highlights to date include Edgar-Wilson's presentation of Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings in both the Grecian heat and the Norwegian frost and War Requiem in the United Kingdom and Italy. He is noted for interpreting operatic roles in contemporary music, such as the Electrician in Thomas Adès' Powder Her Face and Pedro in Mark-Anthony Turnage's The Country of the Blind. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
