Biography

Soprano Anna Lucia Richter specializes in lieder and choral works, and she has won acclaim in both fields. She has also appeared in major operatic roles. Richter made her recording debut in 2010 on a recording of Schumann's Der Rose Pilgerfahrt, Op. 112. Richter has performed in concert under several of the world's top conductors and has given recitals at major venues. In 2019, she issued the Schubert recital Heimweh, and she appeared on the recording of Haydn's Die Schöpfung in the Haydn 2032 series. Richter's 2021 recordings covered composers as diverse as Mahler and Monteverdi, and the following year, switching to a mezzo-soprano range, she issued an album of Brahms songs backed by pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz.
