Anton Kuerti

Anton Kuerti (born 1938) is a Canadian pianist, composer and musicologist of Viennese birth. In recordings, Kuerti is usually compelled to record mainstream German Romantics, such as Schubert, Beethoven & Schumann. While Kuerti does a fine job in this oft-traversed realm, his true expertise is in lesser, neglected Romantics, particularly Carl Czerny. Kuerti records for the Canadian label Analekta and it's mid-priced cousin Fleur de Lys.
