Vadim Gluzman

Biography

Vadim Gluzman is an Israeli violinist who has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras and been a frequent guest at festivals around the world. He often performs and records with his wife, pianist Angela Yoffe. Gluzman has performed 20th century music by the likes of Samuel Barber and Leonard Bernstein, and premiered new works by several living composers. The core of Gluzman's recorded repertory, however, is Romantic, and his performances fall into the durable Russian tradition. He has been almost exclusively associated with the BIS label. Gluzman plays the "Ex-Leopold Auer" Stradivarius violin, built in 1690. ~ TiVo Staff
