Konrad Ragossnig

In addition to performing, guitarist and lutenist Konrad Ragossnig edited and published many arrangements of music adapted from scores for other instruments. Ragossnig was the author of the textbook Step by Step Basics of Guitar Technique, several other books, and a printed-music series called Music for Guitar that included transcriptions of some 70 works. His recordings continued to be reissued in his old age. Ragossnig died in Antwerp, Belgium, on January 3, 2018. By the time his 1969 Spanish Guitar Recital appeared on the Supraphon label in 2025, his recording catalog numbered some 70 items.
