Seunghee Lee

Biography

Clarinetist Seunghee Lee has become popular in both Asia and the U.S., offering recordings featuring adventurous, unusual programming. Lee is also a musical entrepreneur, a lecturer, and a competitive golfer. Lee released her debut album, Brava, in 2000. Lee spent several years away from music, devoting them to motherhood and to her career as a professional golfer, in which she used the name Sunny Kang. Lee has lectured on similarities between golf and music. She returned to music primarily as a recording artist, issuing the album Embrace in 2011. After self-issuing the album Hidden Treasures in 2013, she formed the Musica Solis label in 2016 and released the album Solace. She returned in 2022 with Aspire, a duo album with bandoneon player JP Jofre.
