Giovanni Paolo Cima

The more famous brother of the Cima family, noted Italian composers and organists in the vicinity of Rome and Milan. Giovanni Paolo was an organist at Santa Celso in Milan who composed concerti, ricercares, and motets. Giovanni also compiled a number of works to which he added an appendix concerning the proper tuning procedures for a clavichord. The instructions were for well-tempered tunings. ~ Keith Johnson
