Biography
Woongwhee Moon is a cellist distinguished by his founding role in the Novus String Quartet (established 2007). Trained at the Korea National University of Arts and subsequently at European conservatories in Hamburg, Dresden, and Munich, Moon has earned international recognition through competition success at the Stuttgart International Competition and the International Mozart Competition. In 2026, Moon participated in the completion of pianist Yeol Eum Son's comprehensive recording project documenting Ravel's complete chamber works.
