Chloë Hanslip

Biography

Chloë Hanslip is a versatile violinist with a passion for contemporary as well as Romantic music, as illustrated by a concerto repertoire that spans Beethoven and Britten. She has also championed the works of composers such as John Adams, Philip Glass, and Brett Dean, among many others. Rising to fame as a teen, her 2006 recording of Adams' Violin Concerto and John Corigliano's "Chaconne" from The Red Violin rose to number two on the classical chart in her native Britain. In the late 2010s, she recorded Beethoven's complete violin sonatas with pianist Danny Driver. Hanslip's 2025 album Violin Works focused on composers Robert Russell Bennett and Vernon Duke.
