Elizabeth Kenny

In the career of English lutenist and theorbo player Elizabeth Kenny, known as Liz, virtuoso performance, teaching, and research coexist with mutual benefit. Kenny has performed with the major Baroque ensembles Les Arts Florissants and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. She has taught at the Royal Academy of Music and other institutions in Britain and abroad. Kenny has a substantial recording catalog, including with her own group, Theatre of the Ayre, that includes De Pasión Mortal: Songs from Two Golden Ages (2024).
