Höör Barock

Biography

Sweden's Höör Barock is one of Scandinavia's top Baroque ensembles, with a flexible membership that allows the group to take on a variety of repertories. The group has no permanent director but collaborates with other musicians appropriate to the project at hand. The members of Höör Barock had performed together at the summer Höör Baroque Festival and decided to continue as an ongoing ensemble. Overall, the group's repertory ranges widely within the Baroque era. Höör Barock made its debut in 2017 with an album of chamber music by Telemann, Corelli, and Bach, featuring Dan Laurin and Anna Paradiso. Höör Barock returned in 2019 with a recording of the Golovinmusiken, a set of 45 incompletely scored pieces that Höör Barock realized. In 2020, Höör Barock joined several other Baroque ensembles for a recording of Monteverdi's opera L'Orfeo.
