Biography
Placing an emphasis on chamber music in his career, French violinist Pierre Fouchenneret co-founded the string trio Opus 71 and the Strada Quartet. He participated in a complete 12-album cycle of Brahms' chamber music. Fouchenneret made his solo recording debut in 2016 with pianist Romain Descharmes on the album Beethoven: Complete Sonatas for Piano & Violin. Fouchenneret recorded Fauré's rare violin concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland in 2024 and returned the following year on Pentatone with the Chausson recital Le temps des Lilas. Fouchenneret is on the faculty at the Center for Higher Education for Music and Dance in Bordeaux Aquitaine.
