Tamás Vető

Conductor Tamás Vető spent most of his career in Denmark, where he was noted for his treatments of Danish music and contemporary works. He was especially noted as a choral conductor and led several of Denmark's top choirs, but his work also encompassed symphonic music, opera, and ballet. Vető left a substantial recording catalog that spanned several decades. Some of his 1980s recordings with the Odense Symphony were reissued by the Alto label in the 2010s. Vető died in Copenhagen on May 29, 2025.
