Biography
Forming in 1985 as the Korean Symphony Orchestra, South Korea's first private orchestra, the Korean National Symphony Orchestra has taken a forward-thinking approach to the performance of symphonic music, offering over 100 concerts annually and using advancements in technology to reach wider audiences. Advocating the advancement of classical music in its community, the orchestra has established educational programs for performers, composers, and conductors. The Korean National Symphony's repertoire takes in music from the Baroque to the 20th century, including the performance of music from film and video games. Since 2022, David Reiland has been the orchestra's chief conductor and artistic director.
