I Solisti Aquilani

I Solisti Aquilani is an Italian chamber orchestra founded by Vittorio Antonellini in 1968. The ensemble's repertoire spans a wide range of musical epochs, from pre-Baroque through contemporary works. The orchestra has performed extensively in major concert halls and festivals throughout the world, with many internationally acclaimed musicians and soloists. Its repertoire often includes works that represent Italy's major contributions to the musical canon. It has premiered new works by composers such as Alessandro Solbiati and Federico Maria Sardelli. Its 2019 program entitled "A New Season" cast an environmental view on Vivaldi's Four Seasons concertos, and was presented both at the European Parliament headquarters and Rome's Palazzo Montecitorio. The 2026 album Vivaldi 100: 13 Violin Concertos is one of several that the group has made with violinist Giuliano Carmignola.
