Biography
The Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra assembles each summer in Wyoming for the seven-week festival, while members also perform under its auspices throughout the rest of the year for a total of approximately 150 events that bring classical music to the rural location. The musicians are gathered from several different orchestras and educational institutions throughout North America. Over its history, the orchestra has given world and local premieres of more than a dozen compositions. Under conductor Donald Runnicles since 2006, its number of premieres and commissions has increased, as has its recordings on the Reference Recordings label.
